FAQs

Outdoor or Patio Seating?

No Makitto Sushi does not have outdoor or patio seating.

Best Contact?

Contact us by phone 480.508.6761 during business hours to set reservations or place take out orders.

Email will have the fastest response if you are in need of contacting outside of business hours. 

Otherwise calling would be the fastest way to reach us. (During opening hours) 

Reservations?

Reservations are NOT required but they are recommended for parties of 5 or more as Makitto is a small family business. 

Dietary Options?

Makitto has many dietary options available. Such as Gluten free, Vegan, Vegetarian Options. Call the restaurant to check if an item on our menu can be made to your dietary needs! 

All you can eat?

No Makitto sushi is not an all you can eat. We provide freshly made to order dishes and sushi.

Gratuity or Tips?

Gratuities will only be applied to parties of 5 or more.

Discounts?

Makitto Provides active Military discounts with those with an active id card.

Gift Cards?

Makitto Gift cards are considered Gift certificates. These certificates are only available in person at the restaurant and will be signed by the owner and manager to ensure authenticity. Please do not purchase online "makitto gift cards" that are claiming to be Makitto Sushi as there is only Jay and Grace who sign these gift certificates and these certificates will be the only ones accepted at Makitto Sushi. 

Older Gift certificates will not be accepted if it has been more than 2 years ago due to management/ownership changes. 

Any Specials?

Makitto has Daily Happy Hour from 4:30pm-6:30pm. The menu is available on our google page under "owners updates" on our yelp and 100% available on our Instagram page. Most of our specials are featured on our Instagram page. We offer specials and deals on certain nights so be sure to follow us on Instagram to get your special offers! 

Chain or Franchise?

Makitto Sushi was established in 2018. Makitto is run by Jay who is the executive sushi chef and owner of Makitto. Staff is run by family members and friends who have worked with Jay for years. We only have 1 location here in Mesa, AZ and never had any other locations. If you were curious this restaurant is mostly run daily basis with the same staff which helps with consistency and new staff are trained properly to ensure the best service and food is to be served. 

Take out Orders? Online Orders?

Makitto Sushi currently does not have Online Ordering available at the moment. There is a online ordering menu page for customers to view the menu. However, to place an order with us, you will have to call our restaurant during opening hours and place the order directly. Calling 480.508.6761 and tell the staff you want to place a takeout/pick up order and we will be glad to take your order. Online ordering may be available soon!

Pricing?

Customers on google state that they generally spend about $25-$40. There are various pricings on our menu. The prices are set considering the labor/cost/production/preparation of every dish that we serve. Our staff/chefs come in early to prep as our ingredients are never frozen/pre-made/pre-packed ever. All raw sushi is sushi grade and the highest quality available in arizona that the owners hand selects at our suppliers to make sure we get the best quality fish. Prices are never priced to make profit it is an equal middle-ground so that customers are able to get the best fair price for the quality/time/effort put into these dishes and also so that our business can also operate and stay in business. We want to stay honest and clear with our customers and educate individuals on the aspects of a small business such as Makitto and be honest with pricing and how small business must operate to be able to stay in business.
